iPhone 16 Series Wireless Charging Revealed: We Are the First to Break the 25W Power Limit!

Introduction
On September 10, 2024, Apple officially launched the iPhone 16 series, which went on sale starting September 20. Due to the "Interim Regulations on Wireless Charging" effective from September 1, 2024, wireless charging frequencies are strictly regulated in China. MagSafe's operating frequency falls outside the regulated range, which is why Apple does not sell the second-generation MagSafe charger in mainland China. On Apple’s official Chinese website, the iPhone 16 series wireless charging power is still listed as 15W.

However, actual tests show that there is no difference in wireless charging power between the Chinese domestic and overseas versions of the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 16 Pro supports up to 20W wireless charging, while the Chinese domestic iPhone 16 Pro Max supports up to 25W wireless charging power. Therefore, with a suitable wireless charger, users in China can still experience full-power wireless charging on the iPhone 16 series.

Since the iPhone 16 series adopts a brand-new communication protocol, existing wireless charging devices cannot fully unlock its maximum charging power. Leading wireless charging solution providers and device manufacturers are actively developing workarounds to meet this market demand. According to Charging Head Network, Yixin Yanchuang has recently developed a wireless charging module capable of enabling the iPhone 16 Pro Max to achieve 25W wireless charging power.

However, it is understood that this technology is still in the preliminary cracking stage and requires further development and validation before commercial use.

Conclusion
Although the iPhone 16 series is officially limited to 15W wireless charging in China due to regulatory restrictions, real-world testing and third-party solutions allow users to achieve higher wireless charging power. With the introduction of the new communication protocol, industry solution providers have begun developing compatible technologies. Although current breakthroughs remain in early stages, the market potential is enormous, promising users a more efficient wireless charging experience in the near future.
